Tigre win again, and San Lorenzo continue to dream

San Lorenzo went top of the Torneo Apertura standings on Saturday with an efficient 3-1 win over Olimpo, coming from behind after the visitors had taken a first half lead. Later in the day, Tigre got another win to continue their climb out of the relegation places – even a win for River on Sunay won’t carry Ángel Cappa’s title-chasers up the table – and Argentinos Juniors, the champions, rescued a point in the dying moments of their match away to Quilmes. Arsenal and previous joint-leaders Vélez Sarsfield fought out a goalless draw. You can see all the goals, and highlights from that last mentioned match, right here.

San Lorenzo de Almagro 3 – 1 Club Olimpo

Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba 1 – 2 Tigre

Quilmes 2 – 2 Argentinos Juniors

Arsenal Fútbol Club 0 – 0 Vélez Sarsfield
