Argentina’s starting XI against Japan for the friendly in Tokyo on Friday has been confirmed, and it’s right here. On the weekend of the clásico de Avellaneda, the two Milito brothers – who once played for opposite sides in the derby – both start for Argentina, as of course does Lionel Messi, whose absence would have seen the AFA take a US$200,000 cut in their appearance fee. The match will be played at 7:50pm local time, which is 7:50am here in Buenos Aires. As such there won’t be anything going online here on HEGS until at least a few hours after it finishes, because I’ll be sleeping, but highlights videos will of course be posted right here once I’m back in the land of the waking.
