Torneo Apertura 2010: round 16 fixtures

Estudiantes visit Copa Sudamericana finalists Independiente on Sunday, Vélez Sarsfield host Tigre on Tuesday (a match too late to be covered by the weekly Hand Of Pod podcast) and Boca Juniors travel to Newell’s Old Boys. Meanwhile on Friday evening, Godoy Cruz will confirm their place in the 2011 Copa Libertadores with a draw away to Gimnasia La Plata. There are no clásicos this weekend, but it won’t be any less dramatic for it…

  1. Any more news/rumors out there about Boca hiring Maradona ? And, Roman says he could play for Maradona (would he have any choice ?). Also, it is being reported that Riquelme has considered refunding Boca his salary from this season due to his being unable to play more than three periods. Heppa.
