
Independiente lost the first leg of the 2010 Copa Sudamericana final on Wednesday night, 2-0 away to Brazilian club Goiás, who in the same week as their semi-final win were relegated from the Brazilian top flight. First half goals from Rafael Moura and Otacílio Neto were enough to give Antonio Mohamed’s side a seriously tough test when the tie comes back to Avellaneda next week.
