Estudiantes de La Plata were crowned champions of the 2010 Torneo Apertura on Sunday thanks to a 2-0 win over Arsenal de Sarandí with two goals late on from Rodrigo López. Vélez Sarsfield also won 2-0, away to Racing with two brilliant goals, including a goal-of-the-season contender from Juan Manuel Martínez, but Estudiantes’ win meant they finished the day empty-handed. Later on, San Lorenzo ended a deeply disappointing year on a high with a 2-1 win over Banfield in the Nuevo Gasómetro, and Colón came out on top of their all-Santa Fe clash with Newell’s by a single goal. All the goals are right here.
Estudiantes de La Plata 2 – 0 Arsenal Fútbol Club
Racing Club 0 – 2 Vélez Sarsfield
Colón 1 – 0 Newell’s Old Boys (apologies for the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it nature of this one, but it’s the only vid available as I come to upload this post)
San Lorenzo de Almagro 2 – 1 Banfield
