Sunday’s Torneo Clausura matches didn’t see a glut of goals, but did see some important results. Champions Estudiantes de La Plata were humbled in their first home league game at the brand new Estadio Único de La Plata, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Banfield; Argentinos Juniors fought out their third straight draw, 1-1 at home to Vélez Sarsfield, and in the clásico River Plate left it late but got another clean sheet, and another win, to move joint top of the table with Olimpo, and drag themselves within a point in the relegation table of their hosts, Independiente. All the goals can be seen right here.
Club Estudiantes de La Plata 0 – 1 Banfield
Asociación Atlética Argentinos Juniors 1 – 1 Vélez Sarsfield
Independiente 0 – 1 River Plate
