Uruguayan giants Peñarol beat Godoy Cruz for the second time in their Copa Libertadores group on Wednesday night, 2-1 in Montevideo with goals from Juan Olivera and Andrés Frietas (Peñarol defender Darío Rodríguez’s own goal was a temporary equaliser for Godoy). It’s a result that leaves the Uruguayans on the verge of qualification, but complicates Godoy Cruz’s passage to the second round – all will be much clearer after Liga de Quito play Independiente next Wednesday, which will leave all four teams with only one game to go. For now, you can see the goals from Thursday night’s game in the Estadio Centenario right here.
