Saturday’s games in the 2011 Torneo Clausura saw relegation-threatened pair Olimpo and Independiente both win their matches. Olimpo’s win over Argentinos Juniors, in particular, shifts the pressure to one of Argentina’s giants, River Plate, who go into Sunday’s clásico against San Lorenzo needing a win to avoid finishing the weekend in the relegation playoff places. Independiente saw off Colón 3-1. Elsewhere, a hat-trick from Silvio Romero earned Lanús a 3-0 away win over Tigre, to keep the Granate in the hunt for the Copa Sudamericana berth (and perhaps a crack at the title), and Estudiantes ended their long run without a win, beating Huracán 2-0 in Parque Patricios. All the goals are right here, as usual.
Tigre 0 – 3 Lanús
Argentinos Juniors 0 – 1 Olimpo
Huracán 0 – 2 Estudiantes
Independiente 3 – 1 Colón
