The fifth round of the Torneo Apertura is already upon us as I type, since I hadn’t realised it was beginning so early on Friday afternoon. Newell’s Old Boys are already playing Colón de Santa Fe. Later in the weekend Gio Moreno will return to action at last for Racing, against the team he injured himself against – All Boys – back in February. Boca Juniors will travel to Independiente, Banfield will look for their first win later this evening away to Tigre, and champions Vélez Sarsfield are away to Olimpo on Sunday. All the kick off times and referees are right here.
All kick off times are local. Add four hours for British Summer Time.
