Vélez click into gear to thrash Arsenal in Copa Sudamericana (video)

Vélez Sarsfield have had a woeful start to the season, by their own high standards, but on Thursday night their engine finally crunched and ground into the gear they’d been looking for, and the result was a 4-0 thrashing of Argentinos Juniors in the second leg of the playoff for the Copa Sudamericana. The first leg had ended goalless last week, and as such Vélez advance 4-0 on aggregate, with goals from Guillermo Franco, Augusto Fernández, Juan Manuel Martínez (against his former club) and Héctor Canteros. This video is worth watching for the fouth goal alone – it’s a genuine golazo.
