San Lorenzo de Almagro got a 1-0 win over Banfield on Friday evening that lifts some of the pressure that was coming down on manager Omar Asad’s head, thanks to a goal from Juan Manuel Salgueiro halfway through the second half. Earlier in the day, Newell’s Old Boys and Arsenal de Sarandí played out a dull match punctuated only by red cards – three of them – which ended 0-0, and Olimpo and Tigre also drew, 1-1. All the goals from the evening are right here.
Olimpo 1 – 1 Tigre
San Lorenzo 1 – 0 Banfield
