Apertura 2011: Tigre get a huge win, Racing lose at last and more (video)

The 2011 Torneo Apertura matches on Friday and Saturday have seen a number of eye-opening results. First, on Friday, Tigre beat Atlético Rafaela 3-0 at home and, astonishingly given where they were at the start of the season, climbed out of the automatic relegation places for the first time. The result also ensured Boca Juniors can’t win the title this weekend. On Saturday, San Martín sent Tigre back into the relegation spots with a 3-0 win away to Olimpo. Before that, Racing lost their unbeaten record in a thrilling match which finished 3-2 to visitors Belgrano, with four really good goals among the five. All those goals, as well as those from River Plate’s 1-1 draw with Rosario Central in Nacional B, are right here.

Tigre 3 – 0 Rafaela

Racing 2 – 3 Belgrano

Olimpo 0 – 3 San Martín

 Nacional B: River Plate 1 – 1 Rosario Central
