Saturday’s Torneo Clausura matches were a mixed bag. In what should have been one of the better games of the weekend, Vélez Sarsfield and Lanús stank the place out in Liniers, drawing 0-0. Colón beat Argentinos Juniors 1-0 to move to within three points of the top of the table, and Racing won their first league match under Luis Zubeldía’s managership 1-0, edging out San Martín de San Juan, who finished with nine men. In the other Primera match of the day, Atlético Rafaela surprised Estudiantes de La Plata, beating them 3-2. And down in Nacional B River Plate, who started the weekend in second and the match in third after Rosario Central’s win earlier in the day, beat Instituto de Córdoba 1-0 to move to within a point of their table-topping visitors. All the goals are here.
Colón 1 – 0 Argentinos Juniors
Rafaela 3 – 2 Estudiantes
Racing 1 – 0 San Martín
Nacional B: River Plate 1 – 0 Instituto de Córdoba
