Sunday’s and Monday’s matches in the Torneo Clausura and Nacional B (second division) saw some interesting results. Argentinos Juniors’ 0-0 draw with Atlético Rafaela wasn’t one of them, and Unión de Santa Fe beating Olimpo 2-0 didn’t do much apart from reinforce how crap Olimpo are either, but the others all mattered. San Lorenzo beat Arsenal de Sarandí 2-0, thus drawing clear of Tigre in the relegation table, who were held 1-1 away to Belgrano on Monday. Unión took a step towards ensuring their safety by defeating Olimpo 2-0, thus nailing one more nail into the increasingly secure coffin of the Bahía Blanca side. In the second division, River Plate drew 1-1 away to Aldosivi on Sunday, and Rosario Central’s 2-0 win away to Ferro Carril Oeste on Monday means those two are joint-second in the division. All those goals are right here.
