HEGS has been a bit quiet so far this week, so to catch up quickly, here are a few goal videos. On Monday, Colón beat Belgrano 2-0 in Santa Fe to wrap up the thirteenth round of fixtures in the 2012 Torneo Clausura. On Tuesday night, Vélez Sarsfield drew 1-1 with Atlético Nacional of Colombia, and went through 2-1 on aggregate to the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores. Wednesday saw Boca Juniors join them in that stage, 5-3 on aggregate after a 3-2 away win over Unión Española of Chile. Shortly after, Lanús beat Vasco da Gama 2-1 but went out on penalties. We also saw Racing huff and puff and eventually, through a 90th-minute own goal, become the first semi-finalists in the Copa Argentina, beating Atlético Tucumán 1-0. All those goals are here.

Tuesday: Vélez 1 – 1 Atlético Nacional
Wednesday: Unión Española 2 – 3 Boca Juniors

And the penalties

That was the Roman I remember from 2007. I still think he’s a pain in the butt, but he was a genius last night.
