Inicial 2012: River Plate claim their first win, whilst All Boys and Quilmes draw (video)

Saturday’s 2012 Torneo Inicial matches began in La Plata, where River Plate got their first win of the season thanks to two second half goals from Rogelio Gabriel Funes Mori after a first half in which they’d been poor, and very fortunate not to concede a penalty. Later on, Belgrano and San Lorenzo played out a goalless draw in Córdoba, and All Boys got a late equaliser to draw 1-1 at home to Quilmes. Independiente v Vélez Sarsfield was rained off (it was torrential in Buenos Aires all afternoon), and has been rescheduled for Monday. You can see the goals from Saturday’s matches, including Rosario Central’s surprise 1-0 loss at home to Sarmiento in their first match of the Nacional B season, here.

Estudiantes de La Plata 0 – 2 River Plate

All Boys 1 – 1 Quilmes

Martín Cauteruccio’s 23rd minute opener for Quilmes

And Ángel Vildozo’s 87th minute equaliser for All Boys

Nacional B 2012-13, first round: Rosario Central 0 – 1 Sarmiento de Junín
