There are no Friday evening games in the Torneo Inicial this weekend, partly because of the midweek action in the Copa Sudamericana, so this seems a good reason to catch up with those matches – and they were a pair of crackers. On Wednesday night, Boca Juniors and Independiente drew 3-3 in a fantastic match with a stoppage time equaliser for the visitors from the penalty spot by former River Plate forward Ernesto Farías. The following evening, Colón got a well deserved 3-1 win over Racing in a match with not one, not two, not even three, but four wonderfully taken goals. All ten of the midweek goals can be seen right here.
Copa Sudamericana second preliminary round, first leg
Boca Juniors 3 – 3 Independiente
Colón 3 – 1 Racing
