Torneo Inicial: two Big Five managers move closer to oblivion…? (video)

Saturday’s Torneo Inicial matches saw both San Lorenzo and Independiente drop points. San Lorenzo lost 2-1 at home to Vélez Sarsfield, after which manger Ricardo Caruso Lombardi told the press, ‘I might seem as calm as Snow White, but inside I feel like a volcano.’ A little later, Independiente needed a late-ish equaliser to draw 1-1 at home to All Boys, meaning they’ve still not won this season. In the only other match of the day, Argentinos Juniors drew 3-3 at home to Unión de Santa Fe, thanks to two late goals from the visitors. You can see all those goals right here.

Argentinos 3 – 3 Unión

San Lorenzo 1 – 2 Vélez

Independiente 1 = 1 All Boys
