The ninth round of the Torneo Inicial saw no shortage of goals – thirty-five of them in ten matches, in fact – and moreover a fair few spectacular ones. The most surprising scorelines came in Liniers and Rafaela, where Colón beat Vélez Sarsfield 4-2 and Rafaela beat Argentinos Juniors 5-3 respectively. There were two 4-0 wins, one for Racing over San Lorenzo, and one for under-pressure River Plate away to champions Arsenal de Sarandí. And Boca Juniors failed to beat ten-man San Martín, with Rolando Schiavi giving away a penalty, missing a penalty and scoring a screamer. All this and more, right here. Enjoy.
