American (or US-based) HEGS readers might already have heard of one of North America’s newest soccer publications, the beautiful glossy magazine Howler. Their third issue is out this week, and along with other fascinating articles, it contains a contribution by me. I’ve translated and explained a few of the most well-known chants from one of Argentina’s most creative fanbases — that of San Lorenzo de Almagro. You can order issue 3 (or, better yet, a subscription) on this page, and if you want to follow Howler on Twitter, you’ll find them here.
Looking forward to it. Howler is every bit as engaging as The Blizzard…which isn’t to knock The Blizzard. They’re both fantastic.
Funnily enough, I’ve got a piece in the next issue of The Blizzard, too…
Congrats. Can’t wait to read them both.
Thanks! Looks like it’s now going to be in issue 11 of The Blizzard, not the next one (which is issue 10). Obviously, I’ll be putting a post up here to alert people when it comes out.
