Inicial 2013: two heavy home wins as Lanús & Belgrano start round 7 in style (video)

The seventh round of 2013 Torneo Inicial matches started on Friday evening as Lanús hosted league leaders(!) Argentinos Juniors and Belgrano played Vélez Sarsfield in a re-run of their recent Copa Sudamericana preliminary tie. Both matches ended in comfortable home wins. Lanús were rampant against Argentinos’ previously solid defence (Pablo Migliore in goal hadn’t conceded for 492 minutes), winning 4-0, and just after Belgrano ran out 3-0 winners over Vélez to avenge their 2-1 aggregate defeat in the Sudamericana a couple of weeks ago. All seven goals – and some of them were crackers – are right here.

Lanús 4-0 Argentinos Juniors

Lanús’ first three goals came from former Boca Juniors players; Lautaro Acosta fired home the first, Santiago Silva got the second and Leandro Somoza absolutely hammered in the third. The icing on the cake came from youngster Lucas Melano.

Belgrano 3-0 Vélez Sarsfield

Belgrano, like Lanús, had a deserved 1-0 lead at the break in Córdoba and built on it in the second half. Esteban González opened the scoring from a narrow angle, and in the second half Fernando Márquez and César Pereyra put a deserved gloss on the scoreline.
