Sunday Superliga highlights: Boca win again; River come from two down to draw with Godoy Cruz

Four matches on Sunday in the Superliga brought three draws and only one victory – the win in question being for league leaders Boca Juniors away to Banfield, who fielded a reserve side due to Copa Libertadores commitments but put up spirited resistance all the same following Carlos Tevez’s early strike, which turned out to be the only goal of the game. Earlier, there were 1-1 draws in Sarandí and San Juan, between Arsenal and Huracán and San Martín and Talleres respectively. In the Monumental, River Plate, struggling for form, hosted Godoy Cruz, who’ve won just once away from home all season, and both side’s frustrating runs continued. Godoy Cruz took a 2-0 lead before the break, but were pegged back for a 2-2 draw as Rodrigo Mora scored his first goal since coming back from injury and River’s new record signing Lucas Pratto (with the help of two deflections) opened his account.

Arsenal 1-1 Huracán

San Martín 1-1 Talleres

River Plate 2-2 Godoy Cruz

Banfield 0-1 Boca Juniors
