Superliga Monday highlights: Talleres are on their own in second after San Lorenzo slip up

There were three games in the Superliga on Monday, and two of the teams in action were those closest to league leaders Boca Juniors. Talleres de Córdoba hosted Argentinos Juniors, and although they ceded the vast majority of the possession to the visitors, they ran out quite comfortable winners, creating far more chances and scoring two goals to Argentinos’ none. After that, a 1-0 win for Gimnasia La Plata at home to San Lorenzo left Talleres on their in second place, three points ahead of San Lorenzo (albeit having played a game more). Elsewhere, Newell’s Old Boys drew 0-0 at home to Temperley.
