The twentieth round of the Superliga got underway on Friday evening with just two games, because we’ve now moved off the summer calendar, meaning more matches can be fitted in on Saturday and Sunday. In Rosario, Central had a hard time of it against Chacarita Juniors, and were being held 1-1 until 20-year-old Agustín Maziero was sent on with twenty minutes to go. The youngster hit two goals in four minutes to give his side the victory and keep up their push to be involved in a very tight race for a continental cup spot. A little later, Colón hosted Lanús in Santa Fe, and it all started off as expected, when Alan Ruiz scored a penalty after quarter of an hour to give the home side the lead. But two minutes later, Javier Correa fluffed a penalty of his own and the tide began, slowly, to turn; Lanús grabbed two goals in the second half, through Laurato Acosta and Bruno Vides, to claim just their second win in fourteen Superliga games.
Rosario Central 3-1 Chacarita Juniors
