Two Argentine clubs were in Copa Libertadores action on Thursday evening. River Plate hosted Colombian side Independiente Santa Fe in their second group game, having drawn 2-2 away to Flamengo last month in the first. Here, they drew again; held 0-0 by visitors who were under pressure for most of the match, but earned the point. Later, Estudiantes moved to Quilmes to host Brazilian side Santos in a clash of two of the most famous clubs in this competition’s history. It wasn’t a classic, but Santos got the win, 1-0 thanks to a goal from Arthur Gomes, turning in from about a foot out after Eduardo Sasha had hit the post after a lengthy run.
