On Sunday, only two Superliga matches were played, due to Gimnasia v Boca Juniors and Racing v Arsenal being postponed after torrential rain swept across the north of Buenos Aires province in the early hours of Sunday morning. In the games that did happen, Patronato and San Lorenzo drew a dull game 0-0 in Paraná and Belgrano beat Colón 1-0 in Córdoba to claim an advantage in the race for a Copa Sudamericana spot. On Monday night, the round concluded with Unión beating Talleres 3-0, and thus cementing their own Sudamericana place, and Tigre finally picking up their first away win of 2017-18 by smashing relegated Olimpo 5-1 in Bahía Blanca. Gimnasia v Boca, Racing v Arsenal and River Plate v Estudiantes – the latter of which had already been pushed back anyway to accomodate Estudiantes’ Copa Libertadores schedule – will all be played in about a week and a half.
Patronato 0-0 San Lorenzo
Belgrano 1-0 Colón
Unión 3-0 Talleres
Olimpo 1-5 Tigre
