One was for Gabriel Heinze’s Vélez Sarsfield, who kept a rare clean sheet and continued to show signs of good attacking play as they raced into an early lead against San Martín and kept it throughout the remainder of the game. The other was for San Lorenzo, whose win at home to Belgrano takes them level on points with second-placed Godoy Cruz, who visit Argentinos Juniors on Saturday lunchtime.
