Friday evening brought a lively start to the fifth round of Superliga action. In Quilmes, Estudiantes hosted Aldosivi and the Mar Del Plata side got another good result to continue an impressive start to the season which will keep them well clear of the relegation dogfight if they can keep this form up. They won 2-0 with a Matías Pisano goal and a second from the penalty spot from Cristian Chávez. After that, Luis Rodríguez hit a hat trick (culminating in a spectacular lob) for Atlético Tucumán to help them to a 3-0 win over Tigre as they prepare to face Grêmio in the Copa Libertadores quarter-finals on Tuesday.
