After a high-scoring start to the sixth round of Superliga action, things settled down on Saturday and Sunday, but we still only had to sit through one 0-0 draw. In the biggest match of the round, Boca Juniors hosted River Plate in the superclásico and River put in a textbook Big Game Away Performance to run out 2-0 winners thanks to two stonking golazos from Gonzalo Martínez and Ignacio Scocco. The win takes River fourth, and means they leapfrog Boca on goal difference. Top of the pile – at least until Racing play Unión in a few hours – are Atlético Tucumán, who got a 3-1 away win over San Martín de San Juan. Elsewhere there was a 2-0 win for Huracán against Tigre, a 1-1 draw between Talleres and Vélez Sarsfield in Córdoba, and 25 minutes of football before Defensa y Justicia v Estudiantes was called off due to an electrical storm with the score at 1-1. The remaining 65 minutes will be played at later date. The highlights below are presented in the order the games were played in, so if you’re just here for Boca v River, you’ll have to scroll to the last video.
