The first edition of this map was put together by Bill at Bill’s Sports Maps in a collaboration between his site, HEGS and Pitch Invasion for the 2008 Primera A Clausura. This second edition was updated to show the teams taking part in the 2008 Apertura and 2009 Clausura, and Bill’s improved on the first one even more by outlining all the provinces the clubs are located in. It features locations for all the teams playing in Primera A for the 2008-2009 season, as well as a list of domestic championships (amateur and professional) and Copas Libertadores won by each team. It is, of course, rather out of date now, but I’m leaving it here because it will still help folk unfamiliar with Argentina to get an idea of where a lot of the main clubs are. Clicking on the map will open it full size. Before the 2010 World Cup, Bill also put together a map showing where each member of Argentina’s squad for the tournament came from. You’ll find it here.
Generally Ido not post on blogs, but I would like to say that this post really forced me to do so! really nice post.
